Meet Michelle
Michelle is the post writer in chief of this blog and part-time David’s orthographic corrector. She is a maths teacher during the day and dreams of becoming a travel blogger at night. Besides all that she aims to excel at the ancient art of preparing the perfect Aperol Spritz.

Meet David

David is the techy mind behind this blog. He loves to cook and is much more adventurous than Michelle when it comes to trying unusual food. David is an engineer during the day and dreams of becoming an astronaut when he grows up. Michelle will get in trouble for writing this but he is a self-confessed nerd and loves sci-fi much to her disgrace.
Together we are Two Cameras and a Bucket list
We are an Aussie-Spanish couple living and working full-time in Europe when we are not traveling the world. We want to inspire you to leave your comfort zone, without quitting your job, through engaging stories and beautiful photography no matter your age. We would really like to show you that it is possible to travel as a couple while both still working full-time in “non-nomadic” jobs.
We met through a photography group and after some stalking on David’s part, David offering to show Michelle his tripod (literally! get your minds out of the gutter :-)) and some “pretend dates”, we finally got together 4 months later. We went on our first trip together after dating for less than 2 months and haven’t looked back.
One of our main passions is to travel and to capture through photos the vibe of a place, the spirit of people, the essence of cultures and the landscapes in this wonderful world in which we live. We hope to foster this passion in you our readers as well. As we started this blog we realised that we not only shared a passion for photography but we loved telling the stories of our travels with the hope that we would inspire others to also explore the world.
We enjoy all sorts of travel, from camping to a little bit of luxury travel every now and then. We are quite active travellers and enjoy everything from scuba diving (we have our PADI licenses) to skiing to hiking the Inca trail to hot-air ballooning over the Maasai Mara to gorilla trekking in Rwanda (amazing!) to riding camels in the Sahara to enjoying the local drop of wine. Michelle tries to get David to stop and relax on a beautiful beach every now and then but it doesn’t last for very long.
We find the best way to explore a new place is to get lost while wandering on our own. However, we also enjoy taking walking tours to learn a bit of history about the place, to gain an insider’s knowledge and even to discover things we would never have found on our own or in a guide book.
We have travelled independently, together, with family and with friends and would recommend all of these options. In total we have travelled to over 40 countries with an endless bucket list.
